Take a Railway Walk in May – National Walking Month
Did you know that May is National Walking Month?
The location of our heritage railway and museum is perfect for a spring walk and our new leaflet is the perfect guide if you fancy combining a heritage train journey and a trip down memory lane in Scotland’s largest railway museum with a healthy walk in the fresh air.
This booklet describes 5 walks of varying length near the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway and Museum of Scottish Railways. They are suitable for all ages and abilities, though not all are suitable for wheelchair users. All the walks have been tried and tested by our Station Master Charlie and he is pleased to be able to add his walks to the visitor experience at Bo’ness.
So download your free copy here or pick one up at the Station or Museum next time you visit.
“This hidden gem is only 40 minutes drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh. The staff are really friendly and looked after us as we boarded a beautiful steam train, we saw heritage diesels too. The sights, smells and sounds really took us back in time. After a browse around the excellent Museum of Scottish Railways and a bite to eat in the Station Buffet we all agreed we would recommend it to everyone and we would definitely be back.”
