Summer Diesel Gala 2016
It’s one of our most popular events, come along and see an Intercity 125 for the first time ever in Bo’ness!
We are almost ready to release full details of what we hope will be our biggest and best ever Diesel Gala on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July. We said that last year and we know you weren’t disappointed. So what’s so great this time?
Primarily aimed at diesel enthusiasts, but interesting to anyone who wants to re-live the sounds and smells of these great diesel engines of the Swinging Sixties which took us to work and for a day out at the seaside right up to the 1980s.
Timetable
Your Summer Diesel Gala timetable can be downloaded here as soon as it is available. Please keep checking this page for updates and follow us on Facebook and Twitter where information will also be posted.
This weekend will feature locos from our home fleet together with guest locomotives from a number of other operators. See poster to left for details. Our Station Buffet at Bo’ness will be open each day for delicious homemade food and hot and cold drinks. There will also be an on train buffet serving snacks and real ale.

Dear Visitor
“This hidden gem is only 40 minutes drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh. The staff are really friendly and looked after us as we boarded a beautiful steam train, we saw heritage diesels too. The sights, smells and sounds really took us back in time. After a browse around the excellent Museum of Scottish Railways and a bite to eat in the Station Buffet we all agreed we would recommend it to everyone and we would definitely be back.”
