Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway – Film Location

Amanda, our Business Development Director, was at Midhope Castle recently to celebrate the launch of a new campaign to showcase the area for visitors interested in film tourism. You may recognise this location as Lallybroch in Outlander which is a 20 minute drive from the railway, itself an Outlander location. Back in series 1, our very own Bo’ness Station was transformed to double as a wartime London railway station where two of the main characters, Claire and Frank, say their goodbyes.

With the help of VisitScotland, Film on Forth, a collaboration between Visit Falkirk and Visit West Lothian, will create a suite of digital itineraries, maps and videos highlighting the full range of filming locations across the area. Read more about it here.
