Celebrate Summer! Afternoon Tea available Tuesday 24 July
On Tuesday 24th July, Afternoon Teas will be served on the 14.05 steam train from Bo’ness. Usually only available on Sundays, staff at the railway are delighted to be able to offer pre-bookable Afternoon Teas on the 14.05 steam train to celebrate summer!
Dating back to the early nineteenth century, afternoon tea is once again a very fashionable way to indulge in a little bit of British tradition and visitors can do it in style on a nostalgic steam train.
Tickets cost £15.50 per adult, £14.50 per senior & £11.50 per child. This includes a traditional afternoon tea and a return journey from Bo’ness to Manuel.
Pre-booking in advance is advisable and can be done by email on enquiries@srps.org.uk or calling 01506 825855 between 10.00 & 15.00 Monday-Friday. Limited tickets may be available on the day at the Booking Office at Bo’ness Station subject to availability (tickets will be on sale up to 12.00 midday to enable our staff to freshly prepare your Afternoon Tea).
Dear Visitor
“This hidden gem is only 40 minutes drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh. The staff are really friendly and looked after us as we boarded a beautiful steam train, we saw heritage diesels too. The sights, smells and sounds really took us back in time. After a browse around the excellent Museum of Scottish Railways and a bite to eat in the Station Buffet we all agreed we would recommend it to everyone and we would definitely be back.”
